Mari Oshima
Mari Oshima was born in NY and grew up in Japan. After a year in Italy, she earned BFA at SUNY Albany and MFA at Parsons School of Design. Currently, she lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Her works and installations have been exhibited in spaces including, The Work Gallery, Brooklyn, Figment on Governor’s Island, Artlog, Brooklyn, chashama North at Pine Plains, NY, and The Rotunda Gallery, PS1 Museum, Long Island University, Rutgers University, NJ and in Japan, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Hungary, Slovakia and Mexico. Solo exhibition were at Kim Foster Gallery in New York City, Gallery Shimada in Japan.
Mari Oshima has been awarded chashama North residency, New York Foundation for the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts and AIM Program and Exhibition, the Bronx Museum.
